Description of Project: Our research activities have focused on developing a fundamental understanding of the factors that affect polymer composite durability, in addition to developing nondestructive evaluation techniques that might be employed in the field. To do so, conducted experiments on a number of different composite material systems that are typical of infrastructure and aerospace applications. These studies have included environmental and mechanical loading influences on the composite durability.
